Job Description

This person will be serving as both business analyst and scrum master for a technical scrum team.

As scrum master you will be leading a team that is in transition from a traditional waterfall delivery model to a product-centric, scaled agile framework. You have a strong enough foundation in Agile methodologies to guide a transitional team. As a business analyst - you will be guiding and assisting development team members and business owners in translating requirements into agile user stories. In this position you will be part of a dynamic, global team delivering a critical product for lab experiment execution to a global customer base within the Informatics solutions portfolio.

Duties

50% SM / 50% BA

Works closely with the Product team (Product Manager, Release Train Engineer, Product Owner(s), developers, Business Analysts, technical resources, and other stakeholders

Manage and optimize the flow of product value using various tools, such as the Program and Solution Kanbans, boards, trackers Organize, manage and facilitate the scrum process and ceremonies; daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, grooming and planning meetings, etc. Help the Product Owner/ Product Manager keep the product backlog in good shape and groomed/ready for sprint planning Act as a subject matter expert and coach to the team in Agile methodology, tool usage, decision making process following the proper guidelines Act as a subject matter expert and coach to the team in creating user stories, acceptance criteria Coach leaders, teams in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets Help manage risks and dependencies Escalate and track impediments Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks Encourage collaboration between teams and Solution Architects/Engineering Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment Work with the Release Train Engineer on program execution and operational excellence Facilitate System Demos and Solution Demos Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help them improve

  • Foster use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
  • Identify gaps in process and skills and help bridge the transition of the organization to scaled agile, product-centric delivery
  • Help manage other special projects within the domain as assigned


Skills:

10+ years experience in Business Analysis or integration of business process with technology initiatives, 4+ years project development experience on an Agile Team - preferably as a scrum master

Experience in agile project management tools (JIRA, Codebeemer, kanban, etc.)

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry a plus

Exhibits intellectual curiosity and integrity

Exhibits servant leadership style towards the product manager, release train engineer, development team and the wider organization.

Has successfully led large-scale software projects (with multiple tracks of work and teams in multiple locations) from concept to delivery.

Strong skills in leading teams, problem-solving, influencing, teamwork, initiative and communication.

Ability to work flexible hours as needed and to facilitate virtual meetings for globally dispersed teams.

Healthcare software background within a regulated environment, International teamwork or global functional experience is preferred.

Experience in collaborating with teams on a more complex project or program decisions across multiple areas, evaluating tradeoffs and providing options and recommendations to senior executives.

Demonstrated skills in innovation and creative approaches in building new business process solutions.

Healthcare software background within a regulated environment.

Experience with managing senior stakeholders

Strong communication skills

Negotiation skills, long term and strategic thinking without losing the actual needs, teamwork and fast integration into bigger teams

Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques

Demonstrated experience in accurately reflecting business processes and requirements in Agile workflows, user stories and tasks


Education:

Qualification: Bachelor or Master degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications or related field. Demonstrated experience supporting an enterprise-level applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Requirements:

  • Experience with GxP relevant systems


  • Experience with deployment of cloud and SaaS solutions


  • Knowledge of Diagnostics business


  • Experience supporting research laboratory execution informatics
