Job Description
R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Technical Development Scientist II in South San Francisco, CA.
Your main responsibilities as a Technical Development Scientist II:
Perform transient transfections in CHO and HEK293 cells in scales 1mL to 25L to support pipeline productions adhering to established protocols
Maintain seed train cell cultures in bioreactors and shake flasks
Operate liquid handlers - Tecan and Hamilton for automated processes
Operate wave bag reactors for productions and cell maintenance
Maintain and troubleshoot key cell culture instruments such as Vi-Cell, Nova Flex2, Nova Flex, Cedex and bioreactors
What we are looking for in a Technical Development Scientist II:
PhD (with 0-2yrs relevant experience) in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields
Suspension adapted mammalian cell culture (CHO and/or HEK293)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have strong collaborative skills.
State-of-the-art transient and stable protein expression experience
Relevant bioreactor experience

Pay Scale:
$99,000 - $120,000 (Dependent on Experience)
