R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Scientist I in Santa Clara, CA.
Your main responsibilities as a Scientist I:
Under close supervision, conducts lab experiments following safety guidelines.
Work from and understand protocols provided.
Appropriately documents experimental details in eLN and follows RMD guidance documents for ensuring data integrity.
May provide experiment details and conclusions for design history files.
May troubleshoot issues related to experiments.
What we are looking for in a Scientist I:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field
Function: Assay Development
Min years: 0-5 years
Soft skills: strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail, effective communication and interpersonal skills to work across a multitude of functional areas, good organizational skills, self-motivated and able to manage time effectively to meet project timelines, can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced timeline driven environment
Hard skills: expertise in DNA/RNA isolation, proficiency in PCR, qPCR, and digital PCR applications preferred, strong proficiency in data analysis using statistical tools (e.g. JMP)
