Scientific Research Associate

R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Research Associate I/II in South San Francisco, CA.

Your main responsibilities as a Research Associate I/II:

Performing DNA construct design, in vitro transcription (IVT), manual or automated nucleic acid purification, followed by analytical characterization and quality control of mRNA

Independently designing experiments and optimizing cloning and construct generation protocols, scheduling requests and carrying out troubleshooting when necessary.

Working with informatics systems to manage requests, independently collecting, analyzing, uploading experimental data, and sharing results with team members via email and/or presentations.

What we are looking for in a Research Associate I/II:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field with significant wet-lab experience

Knowledge and/or experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, protein engineering, biotechnology, bioengineering, or a related discipline

Previous experience with PCR, DNA construct design, and cloning preferred

Proficiency with molecular biology/data analysis software (SnapGene, Geneious Prime, DNASTAR, Lasergene, etc.) preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

$66,604 $106,426 (Dependent on Experience)
