Position Summary:

Top Diagnostic company is looking to hire Scientific Lab Technician/Assistant.

As a member of the wastewater-based epidemiology team, you will be responsible for processing wastewater samples in an expedient and organized manner while maintaining a documented sample chain of custody. Processing steps include sample receipt and accessioning, solids concentration by centrifugation, RNA extraction, and quantification by droplet digital RT-PCR (ddRT-PCR).

Process wastewater samples in accordance with established protocols

Accurately transcribe and review all sample data in the laboratory information management system

Adhere to proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements at all times in a BSL2 laboratory environment

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in biological or chemical sciences or equivalent laboratory experience.

Hands on experience in a research or clinical laboratory setting.

Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Ability to execute highly complex molecular biology protocols in a consistent and documented manner.

Excellent attention to detail.
