Our group provides biomarker support throughout the development lifecycle to therapeutic candidates within the disease areas of Immunology.
We design biomarker strategies aimed to understand scientific aspects of clinical value, including pharmacodynamics, mechanism of action and disease modulation, and to deliver prognostic and/or personalized health care approaches
The successful candidate will combine their strong expertise in both immunology and molecular biology techniques to identify, develop and implement biomarker assays. This may include evaluating new technology for novel biomarker assay platforms, outsourcing assays and/or functioning as a group representative in cross-functional teams.
BS/MS degree in biochemistry, cell biology, immunology, pharmacology, or a related field.
>3 years work experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
Familiarity with laboratory techniques including micoarrays, qPCR, flow cytometry, cell culture, ELISA/immunoassays, cytokine profiling, and human blood assays; deep expertise in at least 3 of these areas.
Ability to develop hypothesis, plan, execute, and troubleshoot experiments independently.
Able to analyze and interpret datasets using MS Excel, Spotfire, GraphPad Prism, FloJo, and/or FACS Diva software
Strong writing and communication skills as evidenced by publications and/or drug development reports.
Pro-active, creative, flexible and demonstrating scientific curiosity.
Prior experience in biomarkers and with autoimmunity and /or inflammatory diseases is preferred.
PhD candidates need not apply.
