Core lab responsibilities will include buffer preparation, equipment maintenance, general upkeep of the lab, inventory of common items, and coordination of these activities with the other technicians.
Responsibilities may expand to include chromatography column packing, cycling studies, stability studies, material generation, and some analytical support (HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE). Training will be provided for all project support tasks.
The successful candidate will be expected to join general group meetings and adhere to departmental safety guidelines. Work may involve hazardous materials and occasionally lifting ~25lbs. Safety training will be provided. The candidate will be expected to commute to the location in Framingham and work during standard business hours.
General knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures
Ability to carry out tasks according to verbal and written instruction
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks at once
Good documentation and organization practices
Ability to work in a team environment
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of AKTA systems and UNICORN software
Background in biochemistry, microbiology, or a related scientific field
Experience with chromatography, filtration, or biologics
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Required 3 - 6 years experience in one or a combination or the following:
Post-high school education in biological, chemistry, engineering, or a related field
Laboratory environment (academic or industry)
Manufacturing facility in biological or chemical industry
