Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong analog & digital electronics design and analysis skills to join our team. The Engineer will be responsible for design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of electrical and electronic modules for tissue diagnostic applications. The position will work under general supervision and utilize detailed circuit design techniques, principles and concepts to develop solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Candidate will work in a fast-paced, team-based, multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects and challenging technical environment. This person will be the authority for development of one or more complex modules, assemblies or units. This position will interface with Development Leads, Business Product Leads, Program Managers and other stake holders.

Duties & Responsibilities

Understands and follows requirements of SOPs

Conducts engineering activities of intermediate scope or degree of difficulty. This could include components/system/processes associated with a medium or large project

Performs assignments independently with limited supervision as to expected results

Receives general direction and exercises considerable discretion as to work details

Plans and coordinates detailed phases of engineering actions for part of a project

Prepares documentation associated with engineering activities

Determines resolution of intermediate technical issues as needed and assures that technical work meets specified requirements

Develops and documents subsystem technical requirements

Writes test protocols and conducts design testing

Contributes to corrective action development and alternatives

Effectively communicate with Functional Management and Program Leads from multiple programs

Participates in peer and design reviews as a subject matter expert

Effectively presents data driven technical issue analysis and resolution proposals to peers, management, and business leaders

Contributes to the definition and timely achievement of overall project goals

Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time

Required education, skills and experience

Bachelor s or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 8 years experience in detailed electrical hardware design

Experience in taking a design concept from block diagram or requirements level to development of a complete hardware design, and verification via test and integration

Experience in design and development of electronic circuits, multi-assembly system & processor designs

Experience with PCB design process and tools used to design (schematic capture), analyze and simulate designs prior to hardware execution

Experience in circuit card designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and interfaces, such as Ethernet, I2C, UART

Experience in designing for electrical safety compliance

Experience with Electromagnetic EMC/EMI compliance

Experience leading a program transition from development to production

Experience with hardware, firmware, software, components, and/or subsystems

Root cause analysis and complaints investigations

Desired skills

Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, design margin analysis and design for production

Knowledge of software and/or FPGA code development

Flex circuit design

Altium CADD Package

Knowledge of circuit card and PWB manufacturing processes

Experience with component obsolescence management methodologies

RFID design

Designs using UV, Ultrasonic and other sensors

Experience in managing schedules and resources to meet assigned milestones

A strong advocate for process improvement

Team and project leadership skills
