Associate Research Scientist
Job Description
R&D Partners is seeking to hire an Associate Research Scientist in San Diego, CA.
Your main responsibilities as an Associate Research Scientist:
Semi-independently execute defined experiments, data analysis and data QC
Report on scientific results to meet project deadlines
Work at the bench to develop and execute established and novel molecular and cell-based assays for drug screening as well as understanding molecular pathways (Proliferation, Apoptosis, Flow Cytometry etc.)
Perform cell biology and molecular biology including primary and tumor cell culture, lentiviral transductions, RNA and protein preparation from cells and tissue, RT-PCR, western blotting, and ELISA.
Hands on experience in working with CRISPR, siRNA and shRNA is a plus. Training will be provided.
What we are looking for in an Associate Research Scientist:
Have a Bachelor s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 2-4 years work experience in the Pharma industry.
Masters degree acceptable. PhD candidates will not be considered.
Demonstrate proficiency with sterile cell culture, cell-based assays (CTG, apoptosis) and molecular biology techniques (Protein, DNA and RNA isolations, Western blot, qRT-PCR, Flow Cytometry)
Experience with high-throughput drug screening is a plus
Possess some trouble shooting and problem-solving skills to resolve technical questions in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Pay Scale:
$94,798 $118,516 (Dependent on Experience)
