Project Overview:

Consumer Hardware products meet worldwide regulatory compliance. This specific role focuses on satisfying regulatory compliance requirements for any of the following disciplines: safety, EMC, RF, materials, energy efficiency. You will be able to work in a fast paced and sometimes high pressure environment, as you work with teams to solve problems that gate product launches.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Track, maintain and communicate certification status and issues in a clear, succinct, and timely manner to all impacted teams
  • Work with contracted agency (UL, Approve-It, etc) to go over schedule and information needed for certification
  • Point of contact and work with external partners to drive artwork and packaging
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
  • Work with various groups (legal, development teams, manufacturing partners, test labs, certification house, etc) to gather information and paperwork to drive international certification
  • Prepare or help to procure documents/signatures required for international type approval/certification work
  • Validate all application documents are accurate, thorough, and properly accounted for to complete filing package for certification
Required Skills:
  • BS/BA degree in engineering
  • 2 years of work experience from a consumer electronics environment
  • 2 years experience with regulatory industry and requirements
  • Logical thinking and independent decision making skills
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and solution-oriented attitude
Nice to have Skills (not required):

Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements for consumer electronics in one of the following disciplines:
  • Safety (e.g. UL 60950-1), EMC (FCC, CE), RF (FCC, CE), Materials Restrictions (RoHS, REACH), Energy, Efficiency (ErP, Energy Star)
  • Drive compliance requirements cross functionality
  • Knowledge of typical regulatory requirements, international regulatory issues, industry best practices, and certification processes
