Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide systems engineering support to various research, innovation, and new product development activities.
Apply multidisciplinary systems approach to tasks with an understanding of mechanical, electrical and software design as required.
Manage system and subsystem level requirements, architecture, and overall requirements traceability.
Work closely with marketing and internal and external users to capture user requirements.
Participate in system integration and test activities as assigned.
Develop and execute engineering studies (Design of Experiments) as required.
Lead and participate in Risk Management activities. Provide technical expertise pertaining to the identification and mitigation of design and use risks.
Lead and Participate in Design Control Activities, adhering to applicable internal procedures, and external regulations and standards.
May work with or be exposed to biological specimens, e.g. human teeth.
Lead and participate in design reviews as required.
Draft, update and release project documentation.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in an engineering discipline plus 7 years relevant industry experience.
Have a strong knowledge of Systems Engineering methods and the ability to apply as needed.
Independent, self-motivated, self-starter, fast-learner
Team contributor with ability to manage multiple tasks
JIRA experience a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer proficiency (e.g. MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook)
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
