Work closely with R&D New Product Development team to create elctro-mechanical patient monitoring devices.
Drive ideation, CAD design utilizing SolidWorks, hands-on prototyping, and feasibility testing of design enhancements for new electro-mechanical patient monitoring platforms
Identify product design opportunities and manufacturing process improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review design concepts and progress.
Generate test protocols, reports, and supporting documentation for formal design verification
Collaborate with suppliers on design improvements, cost and scrap reduction, and manufacturing process upgrades
Top 3 Skills:
CAD Solidworks experience
Electronic Packaging experience
Plastic Part Design experience
The ideal candidate requires a Bachelor s in mechanical engineering with 6+ years of experience in medical device design and development
Proficiency in SolidWorks with understanding of ASME Y14.5 standards.
Extensive knowledge of Master Modeling and plastic injection molded part design.
Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite
Ability to read and interpret drawings and apply GD&T techniques
Knowledge in statistical techniques and FEA
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Extensive knowledge and understanding and knowledge of engineering principles, theories
Work is performed independently while exercising considerable latitude in making significant decisions
Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of creativity
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years experience including either industry or industry/education Required
