Senior Procurement Analyst R&D

The Sr. Procurement Analyst is an experienced professional responsible for providing analytical support, assisting with audit readiness activities, drafting and negotiating contracts as needed. The role will work closely with the Executive Director, R&D Procurement, R&D Procurement leadership team, and other members of the R&D Procurement team.
Main Areas of Responsibility
Provide high quality analytics and support for sourcing activities and spend management
Develop custom analytical reports to enable category teams to complete business requirements development, spend analysis, and supplier risk assessment.
Support the R&D Procurement team in all audit and inspection-related activities. Assist in reviewing, redacting, compiling, and distributing the required agreements and related documents for internal, external, FDA, and ex-US Regulatory Authority audits.
Assist with pre-inspection audit readiness activities such as collecting/redacting contracts, residual documentation, scorecards and other sourcing documentation as required.
Performs contract reviews and negotiations while ensuring contracts are compliant with applicable laws and regulations and internal policies and procedures.
Expert grasp of contracting concepts and strong analytical skills.
Strong internal and external negotiation skills and ability to influence.
Analyzes contract trends; drafts, and reviews contract terms and conditions with vendors and other third parties to ensure contract language conformity to legal specifications.
Leads and executes special projects as tasked by the Executive Director R&D Procurement.
Support requests from Finance, Accounts Payable, Global R&D Quality, Clinical Vendor Oversight, and other internal organizations.
A Bachelor s Degree, OR a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant sourcing and contracting experience is required (or appropriate combination of education and experience).
Demonstrable understanding of the end-to-end sourcing and contracting process.
Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, and be able to set and manage priorities.
Understanding of business and legal terms related to sourcing/contract matters.
Analytical and contract negotiation skills.
Ability to interact effectively with various departments such as Procurement, Finance, and Legal.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Demonstrate self-awareness, embraces feedback, and has an appropriate sense of urgency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
SharePoint, Salesforce, and workflow/database programs experience strongly desired.
