Assist with planning and execution of molecular biology and protein biochemistry experiments such as cloning and mutagenesis of gene constructs, development of various sample/template prep strategies, activity assay development and implementation, and both high and low throughput protein purification.
Analyze experimental data using various data analysis software and/or applying quantitative methods and present findings at internal meetings.
Make and implement recommendations to resolve problems encountered during experimental procedures.
Perform all work using best laboratory practices and maintain a well-organized and concise record of work performed and progress made.
Collaborate and work closely with cross-functional teams.
Extensive understanding of Molecular biology, Protein biochemistry or related discipline
Strong wet lab skills and experience in experimental design
Experience with DNA manipulation and molecular cloning/mutagenesis techniques
Experience with recombinant protein expression and purification techniques such as IMAC and FPLC
Experience with assay design and setup, including FRET
Experience working with polymerases, DNA-binding proteins, enzymes and/or single molecule technologies is a strong plus.
Ability to work well in teams and across disciplines with complex systems.
Excellent written and oral communication skills

B.S. in Biological/Life Sciences, Biochemistry or related field with 3-5+ years of work experience or Masters with minimum 2-3 years of industry experience.
