The position is within Clinical Diagnostics-Biomarkers and Clinical Bioanalysis will be responsible for developing new clinical tests for implementation in a compliant laboratory environment (GCLP and CLIA). The position will focus on developing novel bioanalytical assays for LSD patient diagnosis. Key responsibilities include:
1) Develop quantitative mass spectrometry-based assays for lipid biomarkers in various biological matrices
2) Establish enzyme activity assays for patient identification.
3) Identify novel biomarkers and perform assay development and validation.
4) Support release of patient sample results through QC of assay data and oversight other lab activities.
The candidate should possesses strong analytical skills, self-motivation and the ability to work well both independently as well as in a team environment.
The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry/Biochemistry or a related field, along with bioanalytical experience in a pharmaceutical or academic environment.
Extensive experience in utilizing triple quadrupole or higher mass resolution mass spectrometer for quantitative assays of biomolecules is desired. Previous experience in a Clinical laboratory or knowledge of Automation is preferable. Qualified candidates should have excellent communication and writing skills.
