Computational Biology Group is a dynamic function responsible for supporting the diversity of informational and computational needs of our major Research sites. The Group provides computational support for Preclinical Research and Translational Sciences functions. We have ongoing need to increase our computational capacity and to streamline the analysis of complex datasets generated from preclinical and clinical experiments. An exceptional opportunity exists for a highly motivated Computational Biologist to join the Group. The incumbent will initially direct a majority of his or her efforts supporting the Translational Sciences function, focusing on biomarker discovery from both preclinical and clinical datasets, however, the position will evolve to support additional projects across Research sites (other job description / duties).

What We're Looking For
Proficiency in at least one major scripting language (Python preferred, Perl, or similar)
Proficiency with Linux and shell commands
Proficiency with R

Preferred/Highly desired (at least one):
Machine learning/Data Sciences experience (linear models, classifier development, clustering)
Knowledge of basic/applied statistics

MS with 2y+ experience or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field
2y+ Experience analyzing NGS data RNAseq, WES/WGS analysis with intimate familiarity with NGS data types/formats
