The focus of this position will be to utilize broad in vitro cellular techniques to support ongoing drug discovery, development candidate(s), and their biological mechanisms of action. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating potential drug target(s) for discovery campaigns, screening novel biotherapeutic drug candidates, and conducting primary immune cell-based functional assays for lead evaluation. The candidate should be highly effective in collaborating with internal team members and support project teams across multiple sites. Strong problem solving and time management skills are essential to complete diverse assigned tasks. It is expected that this individual will have completed a Ph.D. program. Previous experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is desirable.
This position requires an individual with a Ph.D. degree in molecular, cellular, or immune biology related discipline to participate in research programs developing targeted therapeutics. The qualified candidate will have solid molecular and cell biology skills and at least 2 years of productive research experience at the postdoctoral level, as evidenced by an appropriate publication record.
Relevant skills include:
Designing and performing cell-based assays, cytokine analysis, and fluorescent imaging
Broad proficiency with multi-parameters flow cytometry (surface/intracellular staining, cell viability) using BD Canto, Celesta, or Attune.
High proficiency with using FlowJo, Prism, Microsoft office applications for data analysis
Experience with primary cell tissue culture and generation of stable overexpressing cell lines
Proficiency in molecular biology laboratory techniques (i.e. cloning, transformations, transfections, Western blotting, ELISAs, and gene reporter systems)
