This Research Associate will join the Translational Development Group . The incumbent will be responsible for cell-based assay development, and biomarker discovery, The position will require handling of tumor cell lines and patient derived tissues.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Independently execute defined experiments, data analysis and data QC
Report on scientific results to meet project deadlines.
Work at the bench to develop and execute established and novel molecular and cell based assays (Proliferation and Apoptosis)
Perform cell biology and molecular biology including primary and tumor cell culture, lentiviral transductions, RNA and protein preparation from cells and tissue, RT-PCR, western blotting, and ELISA.
Handling and processing patient derived tissues and blood
The candidate should:
Have a Bachelor s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 2 years work experience
Demonstrate proficiency with sterile cell culture, cell based assays (CTG, apoptosis) and molecular biology techniques (Protein, DNA and RNA isolations, Western blot, qRT-PCR)
Experience with high-throughput drug screening is a plus
