Research Associate - cell and molecular biology
he successful candidate will be part of the company s solid tumor drug discovery group. This group is composed of scientists focused on development, characterization and utilization of preclinical in vitro cancer models. The successful candidate will assist the platform team in growing and maintaining mammalian cell lines in 2D/3D culture systems, performing CRISPR knockout experiments, and performing drug screens using our chemical library. Experience in flow cytometry will be a plus.

Maintain and passage 2D/3D patient-derived tumor lines
Optimize and perform 2D/3D drug screens
Perform CRISPR knockout experiments and assess cell viability
Perform dose-response curve experiments to assess drug efficacy
Perform Western blotting analysis
Utilize FACS for cell analysis
Maintain an accurate and complete laboratory notebook and other records according to company rules
Write laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures
Perform a wide variety of basic molecular biology procedures
Assist platform team members with house-keeping tasks

M.Sc. degree in the biological sciences with 2+ years of hands-on cell and molecular biology experience, of which a minimum of one year in industry
B.Sc. degree with 4+ years of hands-on cell and molecular biology experience, of which a minimum of two years in industry
Solid hands-on experience with basic cell biology techniques such as:
o Mammalian cell culture (3D culture experience is a plus)
o Drug screening protocols, assessing cell viability
Solid hands-on experience with basic molecular biology techniques such as:
o DNA, RNA, and protein extraction and quantification
o PCR and Western blotting
Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience with 3D culture techniques
