The successful candidate must have solid technical expertise, enthusiasm for working with cross-functional project teams to support preclinical and clinical programs, and a strong desire to contribute to the development of new anticancer drugs.

Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in cell culture of mammalian cell lines, and isolation and culture of human or mouse tissue derived primary cells
  • Experience in handling and processing human blood samples
  • Experience in flow cytometry, growth/viability and signal transduction on cancer cells or immune cells
  • Independent data analysis and presentation

Scientific Capabilities:
  • Able to design experiments to address a scientific question
  • Able to critically analyze and interpret data
  • Detail-oriented with superb organization skills and communication skills
  • Able to proactively identify problems and implement creative solutions
  • First-rate skills in spotting artifacts and troubleshooting assays
  • Solid understanding of scientific mechanisms and experimental techniques, with knowledge of cancer cell biology preferable
  • Design and execute experiments and with high efficiency and accuracy
  • Understand the context, impact and timely communication of work plan and results
  • Work with human blood and tissue samples
  • Understand and execute on role tasks
  • Actively participate in the development of cell-based assays for mechanistic studies, including biomarker discovery
  • Meticulous record keeping
  • Interact with manager and project team to review data and plan next steps
  • Prepare and present work at group meetings
  • Flexible to changing priorities
  • Respectful of laboratory safety policies and practices

Requirements & Education:
  • The candidate must have a Bachelors degree in the Life Sciences with at least 4 years relevant experience or Masters degree with at least 2 years experience in a research environment preferably in an industry setting.
