As a UX Research Program Manager for International Research, you will help build and scale our international research program and impact our research team. In this role, you ll combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience design & research, to help your team improve the products that are used by billions of users. You ll work cross-functionally and collaborate with all to plan projects, define milestones, assign resources, assess risks, and drive projects to meet deadlines. You will also manage all project-related communications to team members, executives and other stakeholders. You are a master planner and a flexible project manager who can balance multiple projects.

Essentially: you make logical, data-based decisions and take initiative to structure flexible research programs that put the user first. You re able to take multiple inputs and form a centralized infrastructure that tracks all the research-related things.

Overall Responsibilities:
- Be the go-to-person for all international user research operations within sumUX
- Support, build and create research programs and products to scale international research
- Collaborate closely with the UX researchers to clearly communicate status, resource requirements, issues/flags, and priorities
- Create tools & programs to support immersions, rapid research, insights sharing, and more
- Anticipate needs for researchers and understand how to set up research study programs up for success
- Create opportunities for efficiency and improved research
- Advocate for the role of international research in the product development lifecycle
- Identify team needs for process, tools, documentation, and asset management, and drive required changes to make sure researchers are working at optimum efficiency
- Orchestrate successful delivery for multiple international projects simultaneously
- Identify when meetings are needed or can be removed, set appropriate frequency, duration, drive the agenda, and keep meetings on track
- Proactively identify and prioritize risks, then create plans to quickly resolve them
- Help the team manage complexity and navigate ambiguity or change

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
- Manage intake, logistics and scheduling of immersions and rapid research in India
- Manage processes related to our research output and deliverables, such as videos, newsletters, and posters
- Clearly communicate with team leads and senior management regarding project status, impact resource requirements, issues, and priorities.
- Proactively identify and prioritize risks, then create plans to quickly resolve them

Required Skills:
- BA/BS, in lieu of BA/BS 4+ years of practical experience
- 2+ years of project management, event planning, or coordination experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication; ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels
- Proven ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems
- Thrives in an environment of ambiguity and creates order out of it
- Ability to identify problems and issues and recommend processes to solve them
- Familiarity with design, qualitative user research, and experience working with design, research, and engineering professionals
- Ability to evolve program processes and strategy based on research, data and internal trends

- Deep experience with research - Understanding of the role that international research plays in the design and product development process
- Track record of coordinating creative output with a high standard of quality
- Experience in project management software, spreadsheets, Google Docs
