Job Description

This individual will work closely with the Director, Scientific Education to provide support in the development, dissemination and implementation of the medical education plan effectively and compliantly while ensuring transparency both internally and externally. Primary role will include daily review and triage of grant requests across immunology and inflammation therapeutic areas, organizing grants for committee review and general correspondence with grant requestors.

Responsibilities of this contract role may include:

Manage and implement the medical education strategy that reflects educational needs by therapeutic area by review of all incoming grant requests in assigned area.

Provide knowledge in the areas of adult learning and educational design including outcomes measurements and evaluation data

Apply knowledge of ACCME and PhRMA guidelines, as well as FDA, OIG or state guidance and monitor for updates. Provide training on those changes to medical affairs and other internal stakeholders as needed.

Analyze information and synthesize the strategic context to make a decision within their role on teams. Manage multiple disease area plans simultaneously while maintaining quality parameters

Communicate directly with team members to define issues in a transparent and collegial manner. Proactively establish productive working relationships with peers and cross-functional partners.

Advanced comprehension of budget and effective management of assigned disease budget.

Providing ongoing assessment of medical education providers to ensure maximum compliance and program quality.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

Demonstrates understanding of adult learning and educational design and analysis of outcomes for independent medical education programs.

Advanced comprehension of inflammatory/immunology disease states, clinical pipeline and registration pathways

Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills

Demonstrated computer skills (able to create highly effective Microsoft Office documents and work with relevant database and IT systems)


Bachelor s degree required. Scientific and/or medical discipline preferred.

5 years medical education experience required.

Immunology and Inflammation therapeutic area experience preferred but not required. E.g. MS, IBD, Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis
