Description:
Workday Functional Analyst collaborates with multiple cross functional HR and IT teams to understand business requirements, provide solution recommendation, reviews the design solution and perform functional testing and assist UAT. This role is responsible for evaluating, analyzing, recommending, triaging issues and participates in solution design. The role also involves participating the biannual Workday release testing in functional capacity and perform functional coordination for the major initiatives.
Responsibilities
Gather/document business requirements to manage the scope and escalate when necessary
Partner with HR and IT in the design and testing of deliverables
Continuously evaluate current business processes and recommend recommendations for process improvement for efficiency and automation
Keep up to date on latest trends in the area of HR and applications and proactively recommend products and solutions to meet business goals and initiatives.
Assist in ongoing review of design and configurations to ensure that there are no negative impacts
Understand the end to end flow of data between Workday and other applications and able to visualize the data issues and articulate
Provide subject matter expertise and consulting to internal teams, evaluate issues and triage to work with IT / vendor teams for resolution
Perform testing planning, document detailed test scenarios, prepare test data and execute functional testing
Perform data validation on data uploads and other data conversions and maintain accuracy of data
Collaborate with the HR functional leads for UAT and final sign off

Requirements
Minimum 6-7 years of industry experience supporting HR applications as functional analyst
Minimum 4 years of functional experience in supporting Workday HCM
Very good understanding of the HR applications, processes, policies and procedures
Deep knowledge of Workday configurations, business processes, custom notifications, touchpoint across multiple modules
Excellent experience in Benefits, Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking functional areas a must
Very good understanding of Workday security roles, and how it works with data access and the functional areas a must
Experience in Compensation and Talent would be a plus
Should have basic knowledge of creating advanced reports and calculated fields specific to the functional areas mentioned above
Ability to manage multiple completing priorities in high pressure environments with multiple concurrent projects
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point
Very good written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
