The Epidemiologist is a strategic and scientific role within Epidemiology, Medical Affairs. The Epidemiologist delivers experienced epidemiology support to project teams at all stages of development. The role works closely with other groups such as Clinical Development and Commercial to identify epidemiologic research & data needs to raise awareness of disease, support the clinical development and demonstrate the value of products. The Epidemiologist works in a matrix management, participates in global teams and interaction with external stakeholders. In close collaboration with the Head Epidemiology or Pr. Epidemiologist, the Epidemiologist supports the development and implementation of the epidemiological research strategy and is responsible for provide study oversight for assigned projects.

Previous participation in cross-functional, multicultural and /or international teams.
Experience with real-world studies, surveillance, epidemiological methods, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis of observational research
Experience with infectious disease surveillance, influenza in specific, and in-depth knowledge of surveillance data is highly preferred.
Knowledge of the drug or vaccine development process is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years experience in (clinical or field) epidemiological research in public health, research organization or in an industry environment. For Bachelor/Master degree if accompanied by 3 years related work experience.
