Develop automated assembly systems for production.

Must be capable, a self-starter, and have multi-discipline experience in mechanical, electrical, software engineering, and process engineering.

Provide advanced manufacturing robotic, electrical and controls expertise in leading detailed and comprehensive planning for conceptualization, specification, development and implementation of right-sized manufacturing and facility equipment. Responsibilities can extend across all areas of manufacturing and warehouse facilities.

Be the technical expert to investigate and drive the development of robotic, electrical, controls and safety equipment standards for all equipment. Owned standards shall be responsible in providing a supportable, reliable infrastructure for manufacturing systems and ensure all national codes and regulations are met.

Deliver guidance, mentoring, training and leadership for more junior engineers and/or cross-functional team members with regard to robot, electrical, safety circuits and control equipment design and execution.

Utilize technical and project experience to add to the Test and Control AME teams body of knowledge to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization and company.

Lead advanced manufacturing engineering activities in support of NPI, Factory Of The Future (FOTF), and LEAN.

Manage robotic, electrical and control portions of capital equipment expenditures that support new product designs, factory capacity or efficiency additions, and quality improvement goals (typical project scope involves the development of specifications, supplier management, purchase, installation and qualification of the Work with design team to ensure Design for Robotic Manufacturing & Assembly (DFRMA) is considered within the product designs.

Comply with EHS and ergonomic requirements; utilize Human Organizational Performance (HOP) principles to ensure that all equipment / processes are implemented with the health and safety of the operators in mind. Develop mockups and prototypes to validate NPI designs and test designs within shop floor for confirmation.

As a senior engineer, will be expected to manage multiple projects and/or provide leadership for larger equipment control projects. Must be able to analyze needs and determine best recommendations for equipment / process to optimize cost & performance.

Provide documentation and training to maintenance and shop floor personnel to ensure seamless new equipment introductions.

Troubleshoot and correct issues with equipment and processes.

Provide technical sourcing support as needed.


Design fixtures in SolidWorks or CREO. (e.g. enclosures, motors mounts, actuators and grippers, etc.)

Demonstrated expertise with sensors, motors, PLC s, and industrial automation.

Familiar with using 3D printers. (e.g. FDM, SLA)

Provides hands on experience in assembly of machines.


Develop electrical design, schematics and drawings.

Research supplier products for assembly components.

Develop electrical bill of materials.

Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications.

Proficient manual electronic skills such as soldering, insulation, wiring and splicing.


Proficient in SolidWork or CREO.

Programming logic controllers. (PLC).

Configuring and designing HMI systems. (e.g. Allen Bradley, Unitronics)

Familiar with vision systems. (e.g. Keyence, Microscan, Omron)

Familiar with various motion controllers/actuators. (e.g. Yasakawa, Nanotec)

Familiar with 6DOF collaborative robots. (e.g. Universal Robot)

Experience and skill in troubleshooting control systems issues

Excellent written and oral communication skills ,

Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems.

Must be a self-starter, team player, work well with others and have a positive attitude,

Must be a creative thinker, results oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy,

Able to work independently and effectively to achieve project results.


Bachelor s Degree Engineering or related discipline. Master s degree or higher is a plus.

Minimum 5 years experience in automation industry.
