The Structural and Chemical Biology department has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Scientist in cell signaling and protein degradation. We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual to help our team analyze key singnaling pathways and protein turnover in engineered cell lines.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Maintaining multiple stable human cell lines in culture.
2. Generation of clonal cell lines using lentiviral transduction systems.
3. Analysis of cell signaling pathways and protein degradation using western blotting, FACS, and other molecular techniques.
4. Analysis of structure and activity relationships in engineered proteins.
5. Presenting results at project team meetings.
6. Maintaining an accurate and well-organized scientific notebook. .

CRITICAL: Human cell tissue culture. Experience working with primary cells a plus.
CRITICAL: Production of lentivirus for stable cell line generation including DNA construct design.
Clonal stable cell line production.
Quantitative analysis of cell signaling and protein levels using western blotting and other appropriate methods.
Experience with FACS a plus.
Knoweledge of high-throughput screening technologies a plus.

Bachelor s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 6 years work experience or Master s degree with at least 4 years work experience.
