Evaluates new therapeutic protein candidates at the transition from research to development to identify candidates with a preferential developability profile. Activities such as cell line development, purification, biophysical profiling, pre-formulation assessment and in vivo fitness are performed by a cross-functional team of passionate scientists from various backgrounds in an international setting. As an Analytics Associate Scientist, you will contribute to the in-process control analytics, apply a broad set of methods, and support project-specific method developments for novel biologics entities and selection of lead molecules with preferential properties. Furthermore, you will support the team for technology evaluations and implementation of new equipment.
Plan and perform analytical assays under the supervision of an analytical expert using cutting edge technologies, incl. liquid chromatography, electrophoresis, and various biophysical methods to support in-process analytics (SEC, RPLC, CE-SDS, IEX, CZE, DSC, LC-MS, etc)
Accurately and timely process samples, compile analytical data, contribute to result interpretation, prepare summary documents, and make entries into an electronic notebook
Actively participate and present scientific data in team and expert meetings
Ensure maintenance of technical equipment and organization of the general lab infrastructure (e.g. consumable orders, buffer preparations)
Contribute to technology evaluations and implementation of new equipment
Effectively manage assay timelines and work closely with team members and customers in an international setting
Sound knowledge with protein chemistry. Hands-on experience with protein analytical methods: Liquid Chromatography and capillary electrophoresis
Experience with interpretation of analytical data and presenting scientific information to broader scientific audiences
Accurate working style and passion for hands-on lab work and managing parallel activities with high quality
Strong inter-personal and communication skills
Proficiency in English (oral and written)
Experience with lab automation is an asset
Minimum BS degree or equivalent in biochemistry, analytical chemistry or related field. Experience in working in an industrial setting is preferred.
