Snr Associate Scientist
BS, MS or PhD in Biology or related
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Utilize genetic and pharmacological approaches to define target biology
Utilize RNAi and CRISPR to determine the disease relevance of novel targets
Perform sample preparation for proteomics experiments
Design and develop novel assays
Document, interpret, and troubleshoot results
Convey data analysis and interpretation to supervisor and colleagues
Communicate with peers and supervisors and foster teamwork
Contribute to collaborative efforts
Strong commitment to quality and reproducibility
Extensive wet-lab experience using routine molecular, cellular, and genetic tools
Extensive experience with CRISPR, RNAi, and lentiviral production/usage.
Experience with oncology target research
Primary required skills: cell culture, plate-based viability assays, FACS-analysis, immunoprecipitations, qPCR, western-blotting, immunofluorescence, standard plasmid cloning, and sequence analysis.
Other skills: Proteomics sample prep, HPLC, familiarity with genome browsers, BLAST, and DNA/protein databases.
Highly motivated and strong team player with a high degree of independence
Highly capable with Windows, Excel, and a graphing software solution such as Prism GraphPad. Experience running Python or R scripts a plus but not necessary.
