Job Description
R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Senior Scientist in Pleasanton, CA.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Scientist:
Designs, plans and execute assigned research and/or development-related experiments/projects utilizing established and innovative procedures, and applying scientific knowledge and accumulated experience to complete projects.
Contributes to the definition and timely achievement of overall project goals.
Makes recommendations, and when appropriate, acts independently to resolve scientific problems encounters during the experimental procedures to improve productivity of results.
Ensure activities are consistent with project critical path, and responds appropriately to changing priorities.
Accurately and consistently records experimental methods, materials and results in electronic laboratory notebooks.
What we are looking for in a Senior Scientist:
Master s/Bachelor s in life sciences, chemical sciences, or related scientific field with 5/7+ relevant industry experience.
Proficiency with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, molecular cloning.
Proficiency with advanced data analysis tools such as Excel, JMP.
Knowledge of Next generation sequencing based workflows including target enrichment, and library preparation is preferred.
Experience with droplet-digital PCR and NGS platforms is preferred.

Pay Scale:
$78,582 $110,240 (Dependent on Experience)
