We are seeking a mass spectrometrist that possesses strong analytical skills, self-motivation and the ability to work well both independently as well as in a team environment. The Biomarkers and Bioanalytics group specializes in biomolecule characterization and quantitation and supports a variety of projects throughout research, development and manufacturing at Sanofi. This position will be responsible for planning and conducting bioanalytical studies to support various projects. Key functions include the following:
1. Develop quantitative mass spectrometry-based assays for biomolecules including lipids, carbohydrates, peptides and proteins in various biological matrices.
2. Support manufacturing product characterizations such as enzyme activity assays and conduct comparability studies of recombinant proteins generated from new cell culture processes or different scales.
3. Identify biomarkers and perform assays development and validation.
Skills: The successful candidate should specialize in Analytical Chemistry/Biochemistry or a related field, along with 2+ years of direct bioanalytical experience in a pharmaceutical or academic environment.
Extensive experience in utilizing triple quadrupole or higher mass resolution mass spectrometer for biomolecule quantitative assays is desired. Qualified candidates should have excellent communication and writing skills.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry/Biochemistry or a related field with 0-1 years of experience;
M.S. with 2-4 years of experience.
