SUMMARY:

Seeking talented biologists to contribute to our early stage projects, including the translation of novel technologies, in vitro and in vivo experiments, and generation of pre-clinical data on key disease indications leveraging the genetic engineering of human cells. A successful applicant will be comfortable performing high risk/high impact research, work collaboratively across various projects to meet milestones, and play a key role in building the culture of the company as it grows. Applicants should have current and extensive knowledge of molecular and cell biology, cell-based assays, and hands-on experience with in vivo models. Prior experience with cell-based therapies in a drug development setting is highly desirable. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about the future of smart therapeutics and have the energy and boldness to thrive and grow in a dynamic and fast startup environment.

DUTIES:
  • Execute experiments and synthesize data in a biotechnology laboratory setting
  • Support scientific teams in multiple parallel projects
  • Perform cell based assays and in vivo experiments
  • Manage and organize assay workflow, draft protocols, and support lab operations
  • Assist in experiment design, data analysis, assay setup and validation

REQUIREMENTS:
  • B.S. / M.S. in a scientific or technical field
  • At least 2 years of research experience in a laboratory setting (academic or industry)
  • Proficient with primary cell culture techniques, assays, and tools
  • Proficient with mouse models of inflammatory disease or cancer
  • Familiar with current molecular biology and genetic engineering methods, including viral transduction, genetic modification, and DNA cloning
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-functional team
