Research Associate, Assay Development
Newark Metro Area, New Jersey
Responsible for carrying out laboratory experiments and analysis for analytical development, as well as providing analytical support for process development and quality control
Laboratory work will be in support of development, qualification, validation and transfer of analytical methods, as well as routine analytical support
May conduct experiments/analysis independently and may assist other scientists/analysts with experiments employing various methodologies, including: cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, cell counting, microscopy, etc.
Conduct analytical experiments using established methods and procedures.
Develop/optimize new analytical tools under moderate supervision and guidance
Propose hypotheses and draw conclusions from data and results and communicates effectively within and across groups
Perform instrument/method troubleshooting within analytical method parameters and management guidance.
Document/review laboratory work using laboratory notebooks/worksheets that is detailed, timely and in compliance with GLP/cGMP requirements.

BS/MS in Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or relevant discipline with equivalent experience.
Ideally a minimum of 2 - 5 years recent pharmaceutical laboratory experience.
Experience with qPCR, sequencing and single cell genomic assays is desired.
Experience/knowledge with flow cytometry, ELISAs, cell culture a plus.
Basic understanding of statistical methods and analysis software.
Understanding of basic experimental design and scientific reasoning
Experience with MS Office suite of software.
Good laboratory documentation skills.
Understands cGMP documentation requirements.
Good communication skills.
Able to work well in team environment to achieve results.
