The Material Handler is responsible for performing routine activities associated with normal warehouse operations. This individual will work in both the main warehouse and the local storage areas inside the GMP suites and is expected to participate in the flow of materials from loading dock to use in production.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Receiving, checking, and verification of in-bound materials including small package, freight, temperature controlled, GMP and HAZMAT. These materials may be used in either a GMP or R&D setting.
Performs sub-inventory transfers and necessary and records transactions in Oracle system.
Prepares materials for transfer into the GMP suites by removing outer packaging and cleaning with approved disinfecting agents. Care must be taken to minimize introduction of bioburden to the GMP area.
Performs regularly scheduled cycle counts and, with supervisor, resolves discrepancies.
Obtains and prepares supplier certifications for Quality Assurance in order to expedite release.
Prepares kits of materials necessary to support manufacturing activity while maintaining lot traceability.
Assists with the shipment of investigational product to support clinical studies.
Adheres to all warehouse policies and periodic safety inspections.
Timely completion of regulatory training assignments.
Basic understanding of 21 CFR 210/211 regulations related to material handling and storage.
Basic understanding of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc)
Attention to detail and ability to read and interpret material specification documents.
Ability to lift and maneuver large packages, sometimes ?50lbs, for up to 3 hours per day.
