Contracts Coordinator, Legal Contracts

Under the direction of Associate Director, Legal Contracts, this individual will be responsible for facilitating the drafting and negotiation of agreements. As requested by internal clients, template agreements will be generated and the negotiation of non-template agreements for attorney review will be coordinated. Agreements include, but are not limited to, Confidentiality Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Service Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Software Licensing Agreements, and Master Manufacturing & Development Services Agreements. This individual will manage the contract process and work flow from requisition through execution of the agreement. A high volume of contracts requires the ability to meet deadlines. Must have strong interpersonal skills, be a team player, and be willing to work in an environment where individual initiative and accountability to the team are required. Must be able to work with minimal day-to-day supervision.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Facilitates the negotiation of agreements, terms and conditions
Drafts documents following company templates, and under guidance, modifies templates as required
Manages contract process and workflow (requisition through execution)
Maintains contracts files and database
Manages day-to-day activities
Manage priorities/urgent requests
Communicates and manages relationships with internal clients
Participates in relationship management and issue resolution with clients
Identifies issues and works with team members to solve problems and knows when to escalate to management
The systems the Contracts Coordinators use is MS office, Oracle and Sharepoint. However, since Oracle and Sharepoint are fairly specific to the contracts process that has in place there is no need for the candidates to have this experience. Will train them on how to use those systems, though any experience with Oracle or Sharepoint will be an overall plus.
Manager prefers someone with more than a HS diploma but work experience may replace a degree. Corporate experience is preferred over law firm experience. Need someone with knowledge of an overall contracts process.
